Direct Line Buildings Insurance Plus provides unlimited buildings cover. In this, they cover you for the cost of rebuilding your home and any outbuildings in the event of any damage to your house as a result of fire, storm, flood, lightening, theft, vandalism, explosion, escape of water or oil, and subsidence. It includes the structure of your home, roofs, walls, fences, gates and outbuildings, in addition to permanent fixtures like kitchens, bathrooms and fitted wardrobes. Under this policy, you also get protection against burst pipes. The cost of alternative accommodation whist your house is undergoing repair and the accidental damage cover are also offered as standard.
Direct Line Contents Insurance Plus provides contents cover up to £50,000, cover for the cash in your home up to £1,000 plus items in the garden up to £2,500. For your household goods and personal belongings in the home and any outbuilding, the cover is offered on a new-for-old basis.
